A bad start in the new year

My new year presents...2 bruises on both cheeks and now down with the dreaded HAND, FOOT, MOUTH Disease!

Mummy was pushing me to the market in the trolley on new year's eve when she accidentally tripped and fell, which i ended up crashing my face on the floor. This results to my left cheek bruise.

3 days later, i fell off my parents' bed while playing with them. This results to my right cheek bruise.

Then on 7th Jan, my Nai Nai brought me back from school and felt that my temperature was higher than usual. So i didn't attend school on Friday. Mummy thought it was just a normal viral fever. When she saw me drooling frequently, she start to suspect. Daddy also pointed out that i had quite a few red spots on my leg and hands. Mummy asked me to show her my tongue and found a few ulcers. She suspect it was HFMD!

They quickly bring me to my pedi the next morning. Dr Low confirmed it was HFMD and gave me 6 days MC.

This was really a bad start to 2010! Hopefully things turn better after this.
